strange stand-off over a local backyard playhouse. |

What began as a neighbor's complaint over the height of a tree house built by David Levy for his son |

|
|
Jacob was escallated to the Supreme court of California. In the end the playhouse stays -- |
|
|
but with a supreme price tag to match. |
|
|
The happy twist to this all too common example of trampled property rights in our town is this -- |
|
|
the entire tab for the legal penalties was covered by donations from real neighbors across the city. |
