'm a comedy writer -- not a cartoonist. Therefore, it was very kind of Joe to want me to post a biography on this site devoted to artists.
Since even rendering a stick figure is extremely difficult for me, I drew some lines and shapes that one of you talented cartoonists might be
able to rearrange into a caricature of me. After a long career writing greeting card, toy, merchandise, and other copy for a wide variety of
companies, I got into the non-lucrative market of writing humor articles for newspapers.
I then started a film music CD label (Monstrous Movie Music)
specializing in orchestral re-recordings of classic science fiction and monster film scores. Not only did I love bringing this fabulous music
back to life, but it allowed me to write liner books over 20,000 words long without editors telling me to "Cut! Cut! Cut!" I've recently
gotten back into the comedy writing field, and am working with some gifted artists on card and cartoon projects. I hope to work on some
funny children's stories as well. I'm probably the only person on Earth who thinks of mother-in-law gags while simultaneously analyzing the musical underscore for the (thankfully) seldom-seen PHANTOM FROM
SPACE.
If you have a burning desire to see what I really look like, you can check out the resume at my web site. It has a link to the web site for
my record company, which has far too many photos of me to qualify as a respectable site. |
